Welcome
to Gems Child Childcare.
I am Gemma, an NNEB qualified and registered childminder with Ofsted and a member of the National Childminding Association (NCMA) with whom I am fully insured.
My husband James and I have two children, Lauren and Katie. We live in semi-detached house in a quiet cul-de-sac in the Shephall area of Stevenage, close to Pear Tree School and Nursery at which Lauren attends. Neither my husband or I smoke and we keep only fish and a hamster as pets.
I worked as a senior nursery nurse in a well-established private day nursery for 4 ½ years and have been childminding at home since April 2003.
Our facilities used for childminding include a large safe and secure garden for outdoor play with many activities including various types of children’s games, bikes and a trampoline with safety enclosure, a large playroom fully furnished with children’s toys, equipment and materials suitable for all ages.
